QTC Archives: 2003-2004 Season
April 23 – May 23, 2004
The execptional cast assembled for this production included (in alphabetical order): Scott Bloom, Nello DeBlasio, Colleen Delany, Michael Feuer, Steve LaRocque, Stephanie Mumford, Michele Osherow, Nick Sampson, Barbara Scheide, and Norman Seltzer.
Colleen Delany’s Nina is beguiling in her playful but nervous interactions with Konstantin (Nello DeBlasio)
Scenes play just right, including an encounter between Nina and Trigorin (Nick Sampson) in which he rather funnily describes the torture of being a writer, as well as the unraveling of Nina and Konstantin in the play’s quietly devastating final act.
Performances are bold and plenty emotional…with Norman Seltzer’s gentle, droll Sorin hovering above the fray.
